Artist Shikha Tyagi

Prevention (COVID-19)Medium
Oil on CanvasDescription
About Artist
I am a hobby artist. I love to create artworks by mixing some standard art styles. My paintings usually depict both imaginary and realistic worlds and have some surrealistic characters in them. But I also love to create hyper-realistic portraits. I will feel very fortunate if I will be able to create some artworks which will mirror society, help me to bring change, and fulfill the truest and highest in myself as a human being.
About Work
I love to produce artworks that reflect our society. And currently, we are trapped in a pandemic situation that is affecting our lives in a very unpleasant manner. This painting is about the prevention methods of COVID-19. It took a long time to illustrate my thoughts on canvas. This painting shows the prevention and causes due to which disease transferred from one person to another. In this painting, I have represented three basic things to prevent COVID-19:
1. Mask: I have represented the mask at the top position because it becomes a basic necessity of each nation these days when our earth is still under the shadow of death as now omicron variant is still affecting people. Each person can do his bit by wearing the mask and protecting himself.
2. Hands: I painted green hands mean sanitized hands which help to prevent the COVID-19 by killing the virus.
3. Isolation: I have represented a girl in a bubble to represent that humans should stay in isolation to stay safe. Also, I have shown flowers. The flowers which are covered are safe but uncovered flowers are dying, as humans died in covid wave due to their silly mistakes by not following isolation. In this painting, I have merged the macroscopic and microscopic world. earth is filled with dead bodies, sorrows, cries, and worries. The white blood cells fighting with the covid-19 virus in blood, red blood cells, and platelets are witnesses of their fight. The doctors are finding a cure. The eye represents the doctors and scientists who are watching too many specimens under their microscopes to find a cure for this disease. Also, it represents God and hope because everyone is praying for wellness. So, I presented this painting to do my bit towards a healthier society by creating awareness about covid.Artist Jashanpreet kaur

About Work
Over time our soul has become superlatively dark, every word we spoke becomes a breath of fire which always burns something precious for us. The memory we formed in the past, watching cartoons, living happily and fully, is dying somewhere deep within. With my artwork, I am trying to convey the same phase.Artist Tushar Gupta

About Artist
First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity of introducing myself.
MY name is sonu kumar chaurasiya. I am basically from Dumraon, Bihar.
Now coming to my education Qualification.
I have done my 10th with 78.8% from CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL in 2019 & 12th with 76.2% from CAMBRIDGE SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL { CBSE} board in the year 2021.
Currently, pursuing my BCOM {PROGRAMM} from Delhi University. Well, come to my strength. My strongest trait is attention to detail. I believe in planning and execution. Because of my outgoing nature. Many people said that I am quite approachable, So I believe these are my strength.
Well, come on my weakness. I think my weakness is that I am way too detail-oriented. I try to accomplish everything, I just want everything to be perfect, but then I realize I'm losing out on my time. So that is one of my weaknesses.
Well, Five years from now, I would like to be in a management position. Till that I would gain practical experience and then eventually become a manager, of course, I would like to share and learn a lot of new things from the team members.

About Artist
I'm a self-taught artist from New Delhi, India. I do different types of painting like oil painting, acrylic painting, tempera on paper, gouache painting, watercolor painting, etc. In 2020, I have received a record from the India book of records for carving maximum religious symbols of India on a single pencil lead. Most of my artworks are related to mythology, social awareness, still life, nature, etc. For me, art is something where you can express your feelings from your imagination through colours. I have also participated in many online art competitions. I had my first group exhibition in 2014 at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon (now Gurugram) with Lexicon art collections.

Making of Lord KrishnaMedium
Waterproof Ink and Black Pen on Ivory Paper
(Mixed Media and Stippling)Description
About Artist
Tushar Sharma a qualified engineer, chose art for his livelihood. All those who worked with him vouch for his dedication and zeal for his art and skill.
Tushar is a self-taught artist whose love for art was encouraged by his devout mother and lovingly critical brother. Learning from all of his 20 + years of projects, assignments and experiences, in Graphic Design, Typography, Calligraphy, website designing, training children and teachers, developing art and craft modules for children, he has sustained and promoted art with the zest of a zealot. His passion borders on devotion. Tushar uses Pencil, sketching, Charcoal, water, pastels, Acrylic, Oil painting, to express himself. He has been deeply inspired by Indian traditional folk art. He is constantly seeking out the vibrant and unexplainable colours in nature and numerous shades and textures of moods and expressions of people
Born in a traditional family where religion exemplifies love and respect for all humans, animals, and environmental energies, Tushar's favourite themes are mythological. Brought up with vivid stories about Gods and Goddesses, he has been painting on different themes over the years in his own style, giving in to his need for expression. Currently he is working on Lord Krishna's mythical and magical life from childhood till his death.
About Work
Everybody spoke of Krishna, but no one remembered how he looked. Uttari, Abhimanyus widow and mother of king parikshit, described Krishna : his narrow shoulder his broad hips. So unusual in men, his graceful limbs, his curly hair, his deep dark skin his generous eyes, his confident stance, his mischievous smile. She spoke of his love for yellow silk robes, sandalwood paste, his dolphin-shaped earing and garland of fragrant wild flowers and a peacock feather.
Everyone who loved him called him Shyam. Uttari description of Krishna was so spectacular that the king commissioned many artists to capture his splendor in stone. But Krishna's beauty was so grand. So transcendental that not one of the artists could capture it completely. Some could recreate only the loveliness of his finger, others the attractiveness of his toes and still others splendor of his smile.Artist Tushar Prafulchandra Sharma

About Artist
I am a fine art student studying at amity university Haryana. I live in Delhi. My artwork is on Mental health especially Depression. I like to work and experiment on different mediums.
About Work
In this artwork, I have tried to show the more-severe form of depression that is clinical depression. I have tried to show how depression becomes constant in a person life and this causes a sense of numbness in person. Time feels like a river but the person is still stuck on time. I have used female figures as women are more likely to get depression and I too am a woman so I can predict what is happening. The design that is like water is the flow of time which show that time is constantly running like a river and the weird faces are the negative thought of a person. The person is numb to the sense of time as she is troubled by the negative emotion which has become like part of her body. this cause a person to have a constant suicidal feeling.Artist Mahasewata Biswas

About Work
Artist Sandeep Madhav Bhoir

My name is Gurminder Kaur Banga.I am from Gujarat. I love making pencil sketches. I recently lost 4 members of my family due to covid. I want to present the pain covid gives. I wanted to give awareness to those who think covid is nothing. Please take care of urself & ur dear once.
About Work
It is all about the pain of a girl who lost his dear one. She is having flashbacks of her happy moments in the right painting from birth when the person first hold her, first walked by holding her hand, pre-school, hugs, growing up happily. In the center, the hands are getting away which symbols the distance caused by death. Now the hands could never be held again as before as they end at the dead body. The left painting is present where she is standing in front of his dead lifeline & has left with only tears.Artist Gurminder Kaur Banga

About Work
Immortal relation - in this painting I tried to express the immortal love of two pure souls. We all know about the famous mythological love story of Radha and Krishna. In this painting, here, at this present day, Radha transforms into a modern girl with mobile and headphones, listening to music deeply and losing herself in her dream world. She is missing her beloved deeply. She is imagining her love as Krishna (background of the painting) who is busy with flute and trying to impress and attract her. She is dreaming of her love and feeling happy with the music coming out from the headphones and her subconscious mind brings her beloved (different form of Krishna with instruments) from the pleasant sound of the bell, to entertain her. Love letters and her pet are the witnesses of her madness in her immortal relation.Artist Nabin Das

About Artist
I am Siddhant from Deoghar, Jharkhand. I am a student of Banaras Hindu University in 3rd year of painting. I live in Varanasi and here I try to devote myself to my work. I work in two mediums: graphic and painting. My hobby is playing chess. So I use some chess theory/concepts in my artwork.
Thanks
About Work
My work is based on my feelings that have been evoked by my own experiences which I currently facing. Being a chess player, I tried to devote maximum effort to chess, but there are few distraction due to which I am unable to concentrate. As I spend lots of time with chess, whenever I tried to focus on any work, imaginary illusions are like chess pieces are revolving in my mind. So I portrayed myself as the main character. Chessboard for concentration and Shattered chess pieces on surrounding for distraction/problems. I am not a master in chess, do not get me wrong. I would need a lot of practice to get some achievement. But I realized that we have to imagine the squares around the king and somehow weave a net that not only keeps the king from escaping but also stops and potential obstacles in giving checkmate. Sometimes the puzzle is designed in such a way that it's not the fancy-looking moves that are the best, but it is the quit-improving move that solves all the problems. Therefore, chess is not an easy game. It needs some extra calculation power And due to distraction and problems, I am unable to concentrate. So I choose LET ME CONCENTRATEArtist Siddhant

Transparency is very important in every relationship whether it is the relationship between God and the devotees or other relationships in society. In the transparency of devotion, the devotees are aware of the existence of God in every particle. This thought I have tried to show in this painting. The leaves of the Bodhi tree are used in this painting as a symbol of Gautam Buddha. The composition of the whole painting depends on the geometrical shapes.Artist Swapnil Govind Tari

Acrylic Paint on Ivory PaperDescription
About Artist
I am a self taught artist who is an aesthetic surgeon by day and an acrylic artist by night.
About Work
I am a tumultuous fire that consumes everything in my path. I can reduce everything to ashes. But little did I know this young girl would accidentally come in my path. I can still hear her screams, which traumatise me. My flames enclosed her body and melted her face. I tried to stop myself and was scared I might have harmed her irreversibly. We are the flowers that adorn the beauty of this young girl. We are the seeds that were planted by her so she could forget what the fire did to her. As we grew stems and leaves, we saw her face being reconstructed by the kala of a plastic surgeon. As we bloomed into buds, the doctor returned the smile to her face. As blossomed into flowers, her skin began to glow. She may never forget her past, but we will ensure her future will be beautiful.Artist Sudhanshu Punia

Luke 23:34 - Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. In this painting, I have personified Jesus with a sunflower which here represents nature. It's crucified by the humans yet just like Jesus it never wants to bad for its children and instead keeps loving and providing us with like it always has. This delivers an alarming message to awaken people to stop harm to nature.Artist Sanchari Bhuiya

KarmaMedium
Acrylic on CanvasDescription
About Artist
Doctor by profession, artist by passion, that is me. I am passionate about painting since childhood. I am a self-taught artist and I have no formal training in the field of art. Art is not what you see, but what you make others see, these famous words by Edgar Degas inspired me, and they are the foundation of my art. I try to tell a story with each painting. Events that happen around me and in the world inspire me to paint and I try to represent them through my paintings. I am a believer in the natural order of things and I believe every life on this Earth is valuable. I won several awards in the last two years, at both national and international levels.
About Work
The painting is about how we are treating our mother Earth, slowly depleting all the resources, behaving as if we are the only species on Earth and our reckless and indifferent attitude towards Global warming, deforestation, air and sea pollution. It is about the KARMA we are about to get if we continue to do the same things and do not care about what is happening to Earth and the species in it.Artist Vamsi Doddapaneni

About Artist
I am 18 years old self-taught artist, currently in my first year of computer engineering. I really liked to paint since I was a child and I aspire to be a good artist in the near future! Even thought I did not get any specialized training or coaching in my life for painting due to several reasons, but that did not stop me from learning new things all by myself! And to be honest, I am still learning and trying to improve every day.
About Work
The topic of this competition was Kala bolti hai and I could not think of any good painting idea other than making the painting in my painting lively and magical. So basically we have a girl in this painting with her cat sitting beside her and both of them are amazed by seeing the canvas come to life. The girl is in her studio, who has painted something on her canvas. And as soon as she is done with her painting, she sees a bright light shining from her canvas. The painting has become soo magical that a fairy-like girl literally comes out of her canvas along with all the flowers and twings. The fairy is also touching the girl kind of showing her support for her. The cat is also amazed by what she is seeing in front of her. Also, the butterflies represent all the magical things coming out of her creation that is her painting.Artist Riddhi Anil Kandharkar

As destiny would have it she could follow this passion of hers only as a hobby. This passion prevails even today. Age does not defy her! Acrylic on CanvasDescription
About Artist
I am an artist from Bengal have been working in the modern art world since 2013. From an early age, a keenness of the creative world moved me to the art world, and I got admission to the art college of Calcutta known as the Academy of Creative Art. Which has considered child’s play at the time of childhood, catapulted me later on a lifelong journey in search of greater truths, freedoms, and simple joys. During working in the international world of art, my painting was recognized and featured several times by international art galleries, art institutes, magazines, and even Google Art and Culture. In 2020, I was appointed as a brand ambassador of the Artdex, a sister concern of the MoMA(Museum of Modern Art) New York. Presently, I am working in a small village in a suburban area.
About Work
Light and shadow. East and West. A conversation between ancestral Indian lineages and the synthetic cubists. Musical improvisations in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. A harmonic of movement. These are the intersections from which my inner worlds come to life on the canvas. With guidance from an unbroken lineage of ancestors – the master painters of India – I pick up transmissions that my brushes aspire to translate in the present. Swept by intuition I feel into the torment, joy, and blossoming aspirations of the world around me and press the darkness and brilliance of it all into abstraction in order to refract new light, new tones sounded through shape and color – in hopes of delivering a glimpse into that place where an infinity of song and dance can be traced back to, through color and form. For me, this work is a devotion to freedom, the real kind. For viewers, I’m told my pieces, delivered in an abstract modern medium, offer an indescribable quietude, a sense of union with all things.Artist Amar Singha

About Work
The description of Chakor Bird is found in literature in India. Many authors and poets have described the Chakor bird in their works. The Chakor bird is depicted as the lover in the poems, who beholds the moon throughout the night and is depicted as the discolored lover Markandeya Purana whose time of creation is believed to be between 250 AD to 500 AD. Is named Chandrakapayi. Atharth, who drink moonlight. So the poets established that it loves the moon and keeps looking at it, assimilating its Rashmi, as soon as dusk comes into the heart of Chakor, but due to the height, the desire to touch the moon. Has passed every night but still keeps trying. Radha Krishna has been portrayed very much in the Indian tradition as Chand Chakor. Similarly, according to the articles and poems, I have tried to display the states of the moon and chakor through graphic arts. The desire to get to the moon is comparable to human life just as the moon keeps trying for water throughout the night even after the high altitude and on the last night of the month, the full moon shines in the moonlight. In the same way, by willpower determination and constant effort, a person achieves success one day. If a person does not have willpower, then he cannot do any kind of work. Curse of uninteresting life is more painful than hell. It gives the pace of life and provides the inspiration for strength and hard work.Artist Hira Lal Kumhar

Since childhood, I have had a passion for art. I got inspiration in art from my mother. In my school and college days, I tried my hand on different types of drawing. Now I am an amateur artist. I spend some hours every day on a painting which makes me happy. My medium of artwork is based on acrylic colour, water colour and oil painting.
About Work
The subject of my painting is PRATIKSHA i.e. Waiting. Pratiksha is reflected in the waiting mood of a lady which is very common among women. She is staying in one place remaining inactive in anticipation of something. That expectation may be for her beloved, her child, her aging parent, or any dear one. Her mood is aspiring for hope against hope for something positive to happenArtist Ashima Misra

About Work
I have lived in Delhi since childhood. My home is in a colony that has a huge dumpster or garbage park and I started this work series inspired by it. In my art practice, humans are a world of violence and waste. The present presence and existence of nature is the main point of my work. I am seeing the growing empire of waste in society from my childhood days and it is increasing more and more day by day and there is no sufficient limit to it.
Today there are mountains of garbage everywhere around us, but the society living there does not care about it. Where there is a shortage of one more resource, on the other hand, its waste is being made. Nature cannot find any way to rise. They are being burnt and destroyed every day. Man uses nature to make his life accessible and starts polluting it with his unending desires. As a result, it gives the impression that human life is in great danger and it will one day become extinct.
In this modern time, the conditions of nature are not well and Pollution, urbanisation, factories are very fast to grow.Artist Vivek Pal
